Disclaimer : All the thoughts expressed or written in this blog are purely written with heart and not mind. :P

So, namastey, aadab and sat sri akaal to the readers...

I am KARAN BHALLA , pursuing B.tech from MAHARISHI DAYANAND UNIVERSITY, ROHTAK. It gives me immense pleasure to write my first blog for Microsoft. This is not just a blog i am writing. These are my feelings that how Microsoft has really made an impact on my life.
I never realised how big the impact is but when i thought that if Microsoft would not have been there, i would not have reached to 3rd year of my engineering :P

Microsoft slowly led to the evolution of human beings. Just like a teacher holds hands of his student in the same way Microsoft held our hands and made the human species more smarter than ever.

Being a kid, I always used to think ‘Main bhi windows banaunga and ameer ho jaunga :P’  as windows was the biggest application of Microsoft at that time.
Then as i grew up, i realised that it was not just windows , there was MS paint too.

Making my favourite shapes on MS paint made me so happy in my childhood.

Now came the lumia. We were so much in problem with the hanging issue in other smart phones, Then lumia came to our rescue.  With strong and powerful hardware and no hang problem it is one of the best services provided by Microsoft.

I always used to miss my cousins who are currently staying abroad, when i heard about skype and downloaded it, and when i saw them and their children after a gap of 8 years.

That time tears came in my eyes and those were tears of happiness. I was like ‘i love u MICROSOFT’

The best time i have spent with any Microsoft product is XBOX. This thing never allowed me to feel that i am a lonely person :P

I do not have high end personal computer. With only 160 GB of hard drive storage, i was literally craving for a few Mb’s. But when i heard about Microsoft’s one drive. I was like. ‘WOW man’. Microsoft, u saved my money for an external hard disk.
Now comes the most important thing, MS Office, the name is truly justified. It brings the whole office to our desktop. I cant even imagine my life without Microsoft excel, word and PowerPoint.

Microsoft gave the world two things:
  • Microsoft was the first real software company.
  • Microsoft did put a PC on every desk and in every home.
At the end of the day, it's that last part that matters. By shifting the value in computing to software, Microsoft commoditized computing hardware and made computing accessible to the masses. If this isn't one of the most significant events in history, nothing is.
Microsoft, being a software company, built an operating system platform that let thousands of others innovate which, along with Moore's Law, made PCs cheaper and more valuable every year which meant more and more people could get access to them, in a vicious circle.
Being the first big, viable software company also meant Microsoft cleared the way for thousands of other software innovators, when it was in no way obvious at the start that a company could be viable making just software.

What will be my role as a MICROSOFT STUDENT ASSOCIATE...

Being a part of such a prestigious firm would be more than ‘DREAM COME TRUE’. We all know that operating systems that are running on every personal computer is Microsoft’s gift to every one. Microsoft doesn’t need any kind of introduction just like Sachin Tendulkar. I have always been crazy about latest technology and products of Microsoft. So my duties will be.

1)      A program always requires best staff along with a best leader. So  i'll make people aware about the benefits of Microsoft. Not what they used to think but what they should think now. After becoming an MSA, i would like to be a part of the team and promote the impact of Microsoft and its products by organising events: cultural, technical ,workshops, conference, seminars, presentations, boot camps etc .

2)       People say that i connect with people quite easily. So,  i ll make aware my college friends, school friends and relatives about the benefits of Microsoft. Now the question arises, why would people like to listen about Microsoft. We all know Shahrukh Khan, the king of Bollywood , every time he releases his new movie, people gather in flocks to see him and to see what he is propagating.
Microsoft is much bigger in this case, like a god, and god doesn’t need any introduction. So what Microsoft will bring, it will automatically reach to people.

3) Social media, The best way to spread your word to the whole world. Having around 7.3k followers i can easily spread the words of Microsoft to my friends and other people. I ll share the pages of Microsoft communities, competitions and all the events that are taking place in Microsoft.

4)        MTA : the certifications which are conducted by Microsoft. I myself have done the certification in database. Even our principal sir and HOD sir gave the exam with us. With so much enthusiasts of Microsoft in our college , i will encourage more and more people to give MTA exams.

5)      Education is one of the best platforms to spread knowledge. Being a technical student , i would like to suggest to my faculty about introducing a subject related to Microsoft technologies. Yes, you heard it right. Microsoft it itself like an encyclopedia.

6)      The scholars of our institution got aakash tablets for their brilliant academic performance. I would like to suggest my institution to give away lumia phones which are in budget, have powerful hardware features and excellent processors which will help the students to do their work efficiently.

So friends, i have expressed my views and duties.
I request you all to kindly like , comment and share my blog.

Regards
Karan Bhalla
